My personal experience Going totally soap free was a massive turning point in my skincare and wellness journey. From the age of 15 to 30 I had uncomfortable dermatitis outbreaks that no cream or pill could fix. It took me another 5 years to develop these powdered bodywashes from a simple observation while I was using gluten free flours to make biscuits. The combination of the powdered botanics with oils and salts felt cleansing and left my skin so so soft! I tried a simple blend on my face and neck where I had irritated skin, and literally shed tears of relief as it calmed the redness so quickly. I experimented with different nourishing carrier oils and aromatics to help my skin barrier heal and get stronger. The outcome was a range of Powdered Bodywash that can be customised to suit your needs. Did my skin improve? Yes. All up it took over 5 years to reset my skin, but now I can use soaps and gentle surfactants again, however I always choose botanic organic, naturally scented and synthetic free ingredients. Always. How to use
As a Body Wash - Wet skin and turn off shower. Gently tap out a small amount of powder into your hand and rub over your skin. Recap your bottle. Move the powder around to make a lotion on your wet skin. Rinse off under the shower. Voila! clean, soft skin that smells delightful.
Bath Soak - Add 3 to 4 tablespoons to a warm bath. No need to rinse off.
How to refill your bottle
I love that the PET bottles can be used multiple times. All refill pouches come with two removable labels to suit your blend. Leave one on the pouch and remove the other to apply on your bottle (after it's been thoroughly cleaned).
When refilling make sure there is no residual product from the previous batch. Clean the bottle with warm soapy water and rinse with hot water (not boiling hot water as this will deteriorate your rPET bottle).
Allow the bottle to dry out thoroughly before spooning in the refill batch. A small kitchen funnel is helpful ;) Poke any lumps through with a skewer or the end of a teaspoon.
Always allow the air out of your refill pouch before ziplocking it shut tight. Store it in a cool place away from heat and light.
